Oh, friends! I have been SO excited to share this gorgeous wedding with you! Not only because it was a beautiful wedding day at Hacienda Del Sol, but it’s also because the groom, Matt, has been a friend of mine for a long time! Past brides may recognize him because he’s been an amazing part of my wedding photography team and has helped capture some incredible moments for my couples. He’s always gone above and beyond to serve the people around him, so when he proposed to Dana, I knew they were going to be absolutely incredible together.
I first met Dana when I captured engagement portraits for her and Matt. She was absolutely stunning, and she was the type of person you can’t help but immediately adore. She and Matt had incredible chemistry together and their relationship as a whole carried a kind, lighthearted energy that was captivating to photograph. It was that magnificent connection that made me so excited to capture them on their wedding day.
Their wedding day began early in the afternoon – Matt was getting ready with his groomsmen while Dana prepared for the day with her mother and bridesmaids. Her eye-catching bouquet from Bloom Maven reflected the stunning autumn tones that were in her bridesmaids’ dresses. They wore and array of colors including sage greens, warm oranges and light pastels. It was a stunning combination that beautifully carried over into the entire wedding day. Once Dana was ready, her bridesmaids said a prayer over her marriage with Matt. Once they finished a tearful blessing, Dana’s bridesmaids gathered to share a hug with her before she prepared to see Matt for the first time.
Matt could hardly hold in his excitement when he finally turned around to see Dana. They basked in the happiness this day had brought them and their families. Matt and Dana decided to share a moment of intimacy where they read letters they had written one another and wash each other’s feet. It was beautifully symbolic of their commitment to one another and the life they were about to begin and share together.
When the time came for their wedding ceremony, Matt and Dana’s families gathered to celebrate and their parents couldn’t help smiling the entire time. Before the ceremony was complete, Matt and Dana asked their families to join them in a song that celebrated their new marriage. When they finally shared their first kiss as a married couple, everyone clapped and cheered for these two incredible people and their beautiful connection.
Soon after, the Crain & Co. Event wedding team transformed Hacienda Del Sol’s courtyard into a stunning reception with delicate florals, beautiful vases and warm candles. It was the perfect set up for an intimate cerebration for Matt and Dana. Their family and friends shared touching speeches that moved everyone at the reception. They shared laughs, tears and fond memories that embraced Matt and Dana’s love for one another and everyone there to support their new marriage. The remainder of the night was filled with dancing and festivity. It was the perfect way to begin Matt and Dana’s new chapter together and celebrate the beautiful connection that has made their relationship truly magnificent.
