Sam + Mac – Westin La Paloma Wedding

Share!

As a wedding photographer, I love it when I’m able to capture a day that’s filled with beautiful moments, stunning details and an abundance of love. It’s amazing when I can see the admiration the bride and groom have for one another, and how their wedding perfectly encapsulates that love — And that’s exactly what Sam and Mac’s wedding day was.

The day began with the two of them getting ready at Tucson’s Westin La Paloma. Sam shared a bridal suite with her mom and bridesmaids. She was saving a moment for her father to see her in her wedding gown for the first time. In the meantime, she spent the morning reminiscing with her mom. They viewed photos enclosed in an album. One image in particular showed Sam dressing up as a bride when she was a young girl. Just from that one images, it was apparent how much she had been anticipating this moment her entire life, which made it even more exciting that her wedding day was finally here.

When her dad finally arrived he stood by the window with his back to the room. Sam walked up and tapped her hand on his shoulder. When her dad turned around, he took in how radiant Sam looked and let out the biggest smile that gave away just how happy he was that this day had arrived and how proud he was of his daughter. Him and Sam embraced and shared a moment filled with tears, love and the deepest appreciation.

Mac spent the morning with his groomsmen. As they got ready, they shared stories and plenty of laughter. They helped each other put on bowties and stunning boutonnieres. Every detail of Mac’s attire had been so incredibly well thought out, and by the time he was ready, he looked refined and so incredibly excited to marry Sam.

When the ceremony began, Mac stood at the front of the aisle, surrounded by stunning florals designed by Atelier de LaFleur. He hadn’t seen Sam yet, but when she and her dad walked down, Mac’s face beamed with happiness. She looked so elegant and beautiful that he couldn’t help but smile out of gratitude. They shared a heartfelt ceremony with their loved ones, and completed it with a hand-fasting ritual, which included the two of them (literally!) tying the knot.

Following the ceremony, Sam, Mac and their families were moved to a gorgeous space designed by Table Number One, completed with decor from Frostings Event Design Rentals. Their loved ones engaged in a beautiful reception that was filled with emotional speeches, lots of tears and a dance floor that was brought to life by the Lucky Devils Band. Sam and Mac’s celebration was a stunning and elegant as the two of them were together, which made capturing it one of the most wonderful experiences.

Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Evans!
