La Mariposa Resort Wedding 

I will never forget the first time I sat down with McKenna over coffee to hear all about her and Zach’s engagement story and future wedding plans at La Mariposa Resort. She had the most wonderful, full of life, joyful smile around. It was infectious.  It was clear from the way she spoke about Zach and the vision she described for her day I just knew her and Zach were one of those rare beautiful soul combo’s that grace our planet. Over that next year, I followed them online. Instagram, to be exact. From Zach landing his pro baseball career to McKenna Graduating the U of A with her nursing degree heading off to work in the NICU, it was plain as day to see this couple was going places. But even through all the changes since my first meeting with her, they’d grown closer together. More in love, if that was even possible. So it didn’t surprise me — not one bit — When I showed up on the wedding day, and the biggest, most wonderful joyous smile greeted me again from the makeup chair, in a cute robe with a big hug. Do you know what else didn’t surprise me? That her mom, her mother-in-law-to-be, sisters and bridesmaids were the same — because behind a kind and loving daughter is a mom and family members who taught her to be that way.

McKenna & Zach, I have a lot of things to thank you for. So let’s work backwards. First, thank you for having a Smore’s Bar at your recpetion. My drive home from a wedding has never been so tasty. Second, thank you for all of your love and support over the past year. Your excitement about having me at your wedding made me feel like the most important person in the world even though it was the most important day in yours. I will never forget that. Third, thank you for trusting me with this momentous occasion and those precious memories. Here are just a few of my many favorites. I hope you love reliving them through these images as much as you loved experiencing them through your own eyes.

Lastly, McKenna & Zach keep being you! You are a rockstar couple and the world needs more duo’s like you guys!
